Elliot Porter is a singer song writer from Bishop's Stortford who is mainly influenced by Damien Rice and Ryan Adams. He is often known for being one half of the Block Porter Promotions Event Company. Block Porter Promotions is an events company that runs live gigs in London and the South East.
Ladies and Gentleman you must check out Elliot Porter's Second EP as you'll be in for a real surprise. His second EP is titled 'Keep Going'. From looking at the title of the EP you can deduce that it could be in reference to someones journey.
The first song off the EP 'Adelaide' could be about someone's past experiences in Australia which they remember very fondly. It's got some very catchy lyrics which makes the listener realise what life in Adelaide is really like for a tourist. This is my favourite song of the album as I find the lyrics are very memorable and they make me want to go to this beautiful Australian City to experience what life is like.
The next song 'Over Again' could be about a couple that have split up and then got back together despite the hard times that they go through. Everyone can relate to this song in some way as relationships are not always plain sailing as there times when things get tough, but if you really love each other then you should stick out.
'If You Change Your Mind' is the 3rd song from this EP and one can realise that this song could be about a man who has dumped by his girlfriend and he is wishing that she would change her mind. Most men can relate to the lyrics in this song as every guy has experienced heartbreak in some ways when growing up.
The fourth song 'Alice' could be about a past girlfriend who has broken your heart many times by mixing with the wrong guys again and again. Most men can empathise with the heartfelt lyrics that are in this song as when you're young everyone meets that one girl that they want to spend the rest of their life with but unfortunately it doesn't seem to happen.
The last song 'Something You Regret' could be about someone who is wishing he was still together with one of his former girlfriends. This song could also be about a break up in which both people involved don't want their relationship to end but something comes in the way of them in the end.
After listening to the whole EP I would give it a 4/5 as all songs are very heartfelt and anyone who listen to this EP will want to follow the singer on this great journey of emotions, places and feelings.
